▎Fiber Optical Circulator
A fiber optical circulator is a multi-port optical component with non-reciprocal features. For example, light entering from Port A exits from Port B, but light entering from Port B does not exit from Port A. Fiber optic circulators utilize the Faraday effect, a magneto-optic phenomenon, to achieve their non-reciprocal behavior. By exploiting this effect, the Fiber Optical Circulator can lead light sequentially through multiple ports in one way. The optical circulator is made of optical fibers and magneto-optic materials, suitable for optical communication systems, fiber optic sensors, and various photonic applications.
The Fiber Optical Circulators direct light from one port to the next in a specific direction. Whether clockwise or counterclockwise is available. Through an optical circulator, the light enters one port to the next port in the sequence, with minimal loss. Commonly, the fiber optical circulators have three ports labeled as “input”, “output” and “through” ports. The input port is where the incoming optical signal is introduced, and the output port is where the signal exits. The through port is used for routing signals to another circulator or optical component.
Optizone Technology develops and produces Fiber Optical Circulators in various package sizes and various powers. In particular with the PM circulators, Optizone can provide with high isolation and minimizing crosstalk and interference.
